2. Multiple disability It means combination of two or more disability which is defined in clause (1)of section (2) of person with disabilities act. (Equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation act, 1995) Locomotor disability blindness Hearing and speech impairment Mental retardation mental illness

3. Evaluation of multiple disability Total percentage of multiple disabilities is calculated by a formula , given in “Manual for doctors to permanent physical impairment”, developed by expert group meeting on(29.2.2000) disability evaluation . a+b(90-a) 90 a= higher value, b= lower value

4. Example For ex, if the hearing disability is 30% and visual disability is 20% then by applying this formula the total multiple disability is: 30+20(90-30)/90 = 43%

5. Certification The final disability certificate for multiple disability will be issued by Disability Board which has given higher score of disability by combining the score of different disabilities (using the formula).
