Aims to develop motor awareness to develop voluntary motor control to develop strength and endurance in patterns of movement that are necessary, safe and acceptable but some degree of strength and endurance are necessary to develop motor awareness and voluntary motor control
Indications diseases causing subnormal voluntary control LMNL dyskinetic movements UMNL after prolonged immobilization or disuse after tendon transfer or transplantation after arthroplasty
Efficacy of any exercise depends on... if the patient is medically able to safely exercise if the patient is able to understand and follow directions if the patient is interested in his own recovery
