GEORGE GERSHWIN 1898-1937 He became a fixture on Broadway. And considered the “Father of American Jazz”. George Gershwin is important for his great talent as a melodist in both popular and classical genres and for his chamber and orchestral works that ingeniously blend the forms and techniques of classical music with elements of popular song and jazz.

Glass is a renowned composer of film soundtracks, working on the likes of Candyman, Dracula and one of his most famous scores, The Truman Show.
