My admiration for : Juan Pablo Montoya Roldan
I´m going to talk about The person I most admire for his discipline, for facing difficulties with courage, for being a person who is determined to achieve the goals he sets for himself. I´m going to divide this talk into three parts 1. his Childhood 2. career in his Youth. 3. Career in his adulthood. Now we´ll move on to know his childhood
First of all, I want to present he. Juan Pablo Montoya Roldán , Colombian speed car driver, was born on September 20, 1975 in Bogotá, Colombia. Son of Pablo Montoya, who stood out as a driver in Colombian motorsports, he has been his best friend, partner and adviser on cars both in Colombia and abroad. His mother, Libia Roldán , has always given him that maternal, moral and psychological support at every moment of his life. He attended College San Tarsicio in Bogotá, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in 1994. At the age of nine he was already winning his first National Children's Karting Championship. In 1986 he won the junior category in go-karts. During the next three years he won different national and international titles in the category Kart Komet . Now we´ll move on to…. career in his Youth.
career in his Youth. He winning the World Junior Kart Championship in 1990 and 1991. In 1992, Montoya continued in the Formula Renault Cup in Colombia. That same year he participated in the American Barber Pro Series. In 1993 he entered the Swift GTI Championship, which he almost completely dominated, winning 7 of 8 races. In 1994, he competed in 3 different categories: Sudam 125 Karting Championship, Barber Pro Series (where he placed third) and the Mexican Formula N (in which he won the title). In 1995 he took third place in the British Formula Vauxhall and won the Bogotá Six Hours setting a new track record. Lastly…. In 1996 he competed in the British Championships in Formula 3 and placed third in the final table and for his great participation he achieved a position to run in the Formula 3000. He was the Formula 3000 champion in 1998. Now I´d like to discuss… Career in his adulthood.
… Career in his adulthood. After which he went on to race in Formula 1. He was third in 2002 and 2003 with Williams, and fourth in 2005 with McLaren, accumulating a total of seven victories and 30 podiums. Montoya returned to the United States in 2006 to contest the NASCAR Cup for Ganassi , where he was the first foreigner to qualify for the Chase for the Cup in 2009. He also won the 2007 Daytona 24 Hours, 2008 and 2013, and came second in 2009 and 2011, also for Ganassi . He won the 2000 and 2015 Indianapolis 500. Since 2014 he has competed in the Indy Car Series for the team Penske. Does anyone have any questions or comments?
