WHAT IS NAPKIN ? A small piece of table linen that is used to wipe the mouth and to cover the lap in order to protect clothing of guest. It can be folded plain or in variety of fancy shapes when set on the table .

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF NAPKIN FOLDING 1. TRIPLE POCKET Instructions: Step 1 : Fold in half, left to right. Step 2 : Fold in half, bottom to top. Step 3 : Fold the top right corner down diagonally. Step 4 : Fold down the next layer and tuck behind the first. Step 5 : Fold down the third layer and tuck behind the second. Step 6 : Fold right side under Step 7 : Fold the other side under. Step 8 : Tuck flatware into each pocket
2. ENVELOPE NAPKINFOLDING INSTRUCTIONS: Step 1 Unfold the napkin to create a rectangle. Step 2 Fold the upper corners to create a point. Fold the napkin together again and fold the upper corners again to create a point. Step 3 Now fold down the top point so that the point is hanging over the lower edge of the napkin. Step 4 Now fold down the second tip. Step 5 Finished!
3.STANDING THE ROSEBUD FOLD Step 1: Lay your napkin face down in front of you. (Put the “wrong” side up.) Step 2: Fold in half diagonally. Orient the triangle so that the folded edge is toward you. Step 3: Fold the right corner of the triangle up to the top point. Repeat with the left corner. (This will be the apex of your napkin fold, so make sure all the points line up on top of each other.) Step 4: Turn the napkin over, keeping the open end pointing away from you. Step #5: Fold the bottom (folded) edge up toward the top point about 3/4 of the way up. Step 6: Flip the napkin back over to the front. Step 7: Fold the right side across the front (an inch or two past the center.) Step 8: Fold the left side across the front. Now tuck it into the opening. Step 9: Curl the base and fuss with the tucks until it looks nice. Stand it up. Step 10: Add dry flowers, candy canes, or snacks to go with the theme of your event
4.BANANA NAPKIN FOLD 1. Lay the napkin face down in front of you. 2. Fold the napkin in half diagonally. 3. Orient the napkin so the open ends point away from you. 4. Fold the bottom of the napkin up about 2/4's of the way and press this fold down well. 5. Fold the smaller triangle down so the point rests on the near edge of the napkin. Press. 6. Fold the right end up to meet the far corner, ensuring the edge of this new fold lays on the centerline as shown. 7. Repeat the last step with the left side, folding the left tip up to the far corner, creating a diamond shape with a seam running down the center. 8. Curl the left and right sides of the napkin up so they meet in the middle and tuck one into the other. Stand it up and tug at it where needed to even it up and out. If your napkins are too limp, then think of starch as a napkin and make them good and stiff round it.
5.SAILING BOAT NAPKIN FOLD Step 1: Lay the napkin face-down in front of you Step 2: fold the napkin in half diagonal to form a triangle Step 3: Roll the napkin and leave 3 inches from the tip. Step 4: Fold the napkin in half, with rolls inside
6. Pyramid Napkin Fold Fold the napkin in half diagonally to from a triangle Place the folded adge at the top. Fold down the right point to the bottom point. Fold down the left point to the bottom point. Fold the napkin in half by bringing the bottom point under the top point .To make it stand ,lift the napkin at the center of the bottom edge so it rest on the two sides edges
7. CANDLE Napkin fold Fold the napkin in half diagonally to form a triangle Place the napkin so the fold is along the bottom edge. Fold up the bottom edge about one and one half inches. Turn the napkin over and roll it up fairly and tightly. Stand the candle up and tuck the corner into the cuff to hold the rolled shape in placed. If you like, fold down layer at the tip of the candle to resemble a flickyring flame.
8 .FRENCH NAPKIN FOLDING 1. Lay the napkin face-down in front of you. 2. Fold the napkin in half diagonally. 3. Orient the napkin so the long side is on the left. 4. Fold the far corner of the napkin diagonally towards you and to the right so that the crease falls an inch or two short of the right-most corner and the newly formed point at the bottom is a few inches to the right of the left one. 5. Fold the right-most point towards you, pivoting at the same place the last fold pivoted. Use the finished napkin to drape the dinner place. Very classy and uncomplicated
9 .DIAMOND NAPKIN FOLD 1. Lay the napkin face-down in front of you. 2. Fold the napkin in half and orient the open end toward you. 3. Fold the napkin into quarters. 4. Fold the top-most layer of the napkin in half diagonally – up and to the left. 5. Fold the next layer of napkin diagonally up and to the left, stopping slightly before the last fold to create an even, staggered effect. 6. Repeat by folding up the next layer of napkin to a point just before the last one. 7. And one last time with one last layer. Keep them as uniform as you can. 8. Now fold both sides of the napkin under and in to create an even, staggered diamond effect on the napkin. Press it down as flat as possible and you’re ready for guests within 60 seconds
10. THE CONE NAPKIN FOLDING 1. Lay the napkin face down in front of you. 2. Fold the napkin in half diagonally. 3. Orient the napkin so the open corner faces away from you. 4. Fold the left-most corner diagonally so the point rests on top of the far corner. 5. Repeat the last step with the right side, bringing this fold evenly along to the last one. 6. Turn the napkin over, keeping the open ends pointing away from you. 7. Evenly fold the bottom third of the napkin up and press the it down well. An iron may be needed here. 8. Fold both the left and right sides back and underneath the napkin evenly to create the finished product seen here. That looks so nice I bet you just can’t wait to smear food on it!
