Ang pag immunized dili ky naga protektar lng sa mga kabataan naga protektar usab kini sa tibook pamilya ug komunidad . How is polio transmitted? Poliovirus is highly communicable . It is spread from person to person by contact with infected feces . People who do not have symptoms may still be carriers and can spread the disease . The incubation period is commonly 7 – 10 days (range : 4 – 35 days).

Infection can result in pneumonia , infection of the blood (bacteremia/sepsis ), bacterial meningitis or milder forms such as sinusitis and otitis media .
