NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP RATIONALE The implementation of the NLC is a strategic initiative supporting the National Learning Recovery Program and is complemented by programs to improve skills in reading, mathematics, science and technology, and similar initiatives which aim to sustain learning recovery. NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP REPEALED POLICIES SUMMER CLASSES DEPED ORDER NO. 13, S, 2016 Implementing Guidelines on the Conduct of Remedial and Advancement Classes during Summer for the K to 12 Basic Education Program. Remedial class for students who failed in 1-2 learning areas. EOSY CLASSES DEPED ORDER NO. 25, S. 2022 Enrichment classes for Grade 1 to 11 learners who got a 75-79 grade in any learning area. NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP 3 Days/Week, F2F MONDAY - Collaborative planning and Prep/LAC TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY - 3-Day teacher-learner engagement FRIDAY – Collaborative Review of Instruction/ LAC

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP REGISTRATON Official registration shall be conducted for two weeks from July 1 – July 14, 2023 Conducted at least two weeks before the end of the school year. SCHOOL HEAD – CLASS ADVISER – INTERESTED LEARNERS

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP REGISTRATON To be provided by the PSDS/SDO NLC Registration Template NLC Parent Consent Template NLC IMS *No parent consent, no joining of the NLC.

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP VENUE: Not necessary inside the campus Offsite/off-campus is allowed. Avoid risky places – along the river, etc.

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP FEEDBACK TO PARENTS: Update parents Encourage them to let children participate the NLC regardless of grades/average

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP LEARNING CAMP: English, Math, Science – address learning gap Scouting scenario NO CLASSES, it must be fun-filled educational activities Games TVL – cook fest/baking Arts, painting, etc.

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP SCHOOL HEAD: To conduct orientation to parents – at least 30 mins during the Graduation/Moving Up To make OPERATIONAL PLAN – to be submitted next week. To make TERMINAL REPORT – documentation, video, etc. Shall prepare the schedule

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP ASSIGNING NLC TEACHERS: School heads shall identify prospective teachers who shall handle specific learning areas in the respective camps. Teachers shall be selected based on competence to effectively deliver the learning content and skills of the NLC.

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP SAFETY PROTOCOLS: Schools shall adhere to the provisions of DO NO. 31, s, 2022 otherwise known as the Child Rights Policy and DO NO. 40, s. 2012, DepEd Child Protection Policy Schools shall ensure that all camp activities are aligned with the Rights-Based Education (RBE) framework.

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP ASSESSMENT: Teachers are encouraged to prepare activities/ feedback forms DO will provide sample activities

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP INCENTIVIZING NLC TEACHERS: Vacation Service Credits – max 15 days Certificate of Recognition Other incentives -

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP INCENTIVIZING NLC TEACHERS: One workday of vacation service credit shall be granted per accumulated eight hours of service rendered as certified by respective school heads.

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP CONDUCT OF ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES: Last quarterly meeting with parents/ legal guardians during the SY 2022 – 2023. During the graduation Prepare advocacy materials Tarpaulins

NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP MONITORING AND EVALUATION: School heads supervise the implementation and ensures that the policy is communicated to stakeholders Ros and SDOs monitor school’s compliance with the Policy and consolidate M&E reports. CO utilizes M&E results for policy evaluation The school heads shall prepare a report at the end of the annual Learning Camp that includes the highlights, and challenges encountered throughout the policy implementations.
