Brief history of National Technology Day Celebrated every year on 11 th of May to mark India’s achievement in Science and Technology (Operation Shakti) The day commemorates the successful nuclear test happened at Pokhran in 1998 ( Pokhran -II ) In 1999, PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared this day to be celebrated as National Science Day
