Role of Friendship The sense of “Belonging,” Meaningful , long-term friendships are cherished. I nteract with each others . L earn how to agree and disagree. Exchange meaningful words and gestures. To accommodate to others’ temperaments .

Role of Friendship Exchange caring, celebration and solace. To support and counsel . To enhance moods and functioning Enhance emotional and physical  health . To be open, genuine and honest with each other . They tolerate each other’s frailties A ppreciate the differences , and H onestly criticize when necessary.

Intimate relationship An   intimate relationship  is an  interpersonal relationship   Involves   physical  and/or  emotional intimacy . Characterized by  friendship ,  platonic love ,  romantic love , or  sexual activity .

Intimate relationship Humans inquire this relationship over life span.   Being intimate is being emotionally connected on the same level . I ntimate relationship  commonly implies the inclusion of a  sexual relationship , the term is also used as a   euphemism   for a relationship that is strictly sexual.

Role of Intimate Relationship To develop feeling to belong T o love Involve feelings of liking, romance , physical or  sexual attraction , sexual relationships, Provide emotional and personal support. It allow a social network for people to form strong emotional attachments.

Role of Intimate Relationship It involves  dialogue ,  transparency ,  vulnerability , and  reciprocity . It also involves the process of rapport building that enables parties to confidently disclose previously hidden thoughts and feelings.

Role of Intimate Relationship Develop emotional   and interpersonal awareness. . Murray Bowen  called this " self-differentiation ". (a connection in which there is an emotional range involving both robust conflict and intense loyalty .) Develop feelings of closeness from both ends .

The Importance of Intimacy in a Relationship It is a blend of emotional closeness, spiritual connectedness, and an open heart and mind. Its origin lies in intellectual collaboration and familiarity. It involve shared religious or philosophical beliefs. I ntimacy is an emotional response . The feeling of safety is built through this.

It’s the operating principle for creating love. Involves most powerful and profound awareness. Allows deepest sensitivity . We express deepest sense of self to create it It is the antidote to painful loneliness . It nourishes us and ultimately helps keep us sane . Breaks into our isolation.

ACQUAINTANCE REALTIONSHIP The root of  acquaintance  is the Old French word  acointier , a verb meaning “make known.” An  acquaintance  is someone that you spend time with on occasion; someone you’re getting to know, but you don’t know them that well; they have the potential to become a friend. When you really need them, they might not come through.
