In 1994 the first ever
free elections for all

first ever President to
be elected by ALL
South Africans.
Final Years
In 14June 1999, he
resigned from his
office as President
After his resignation,
he worked as lawyer
for several humane
rights organisations.
Mandela died at his
home in Johannesburg
on 5 December 2013,
at the age of 95.
