Neotropical region:
Includes whole of south and central America West indies and most of Mexico
Australian and Neotropical regions are present in the southern hemisphere while all others
are present in North hemisphere
Separated from rest of world in Eocene
Connected to Nearctic region through Isthmus of Panama
Climate is mostly tropical
Southern region extends to temperate zone.
Very rich Tropical rainforest
Without any desert
Andes chain is very high mountain range in this region southern part of these mountains is
covered with grassy plants and no trees
Temperature is very low in winter
