2. Nature of Work
A network administrator performs maintenance
of a business’ computer network and provides
security for the network.

3. Working Conditions
Your general working conditions would be in an
office setting. You would most likely be
working in a “server room” which contains all
the businesses servers, or have an office and
access to the server room. Some netwrok
administrators work from home and
telecommute to their job.

4. Employment
You can find a job as a network administrator
almost anywhere. Where ever you find a
business that has a network you will have
administrators running it. The better jobs
would be found in major cities in all states.

5. Training, Qualifications and
Advancement
A college degree is preferred if not required.
There are many certifications that are desired
by employers to include: Network+, Cisco,
MSCE

6. Job Outlook
This is a job where there should always be open
positions. In m y research I have found that
even in a bad job market, there are still
positions for a network administrator and
they still pay good.

7. Earnings
Network administrators have a very good
starting salary and senior administrators can
make up in the $100K range.
