COMPANY ________ JOB ADVERT Operating in the UK for over 20 years, Collingwood's client is one of the nation's leading manufacturers for their specific range of construction products. O ur client recently amalgamated several other businesses within the same industry to create a larger group, all specialising in similar and complementary products. This was a successful initiative and has since seen year on year growth. Due to their ongoing performance our client was acquired by the leading group in Europe within this specific subsector. The parent companies' turnover sits at over £100 million, whilst operating within a number of European countries. With a dynamic leadership team in position, the ambition is to double the size of this group within five years, through additional acquisitions and organic growth. Currently, they are going through a restructuring of the sales team and as a result are looking to bring in their first genuine Sales Director, who will be key to such restructure. Due to the groups previous performance, together with driven appetite for growth, investment within the UK business is part of the 5-year business plan.

ROLE CONTEXT ________ JOB ADVERT www.collingwoodsearch.co.uk Summary of role: Leadership & Strategy: Working in collaboration with the MD and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Sales Director will drive the strategic sales direction to optimise performance and achieve ambitious growth targets across multiple product ranges. Transformation & Growth : Lead the transformation of the sales team/structure, implementing new processes and strategies to enhance market presence, boost revenue, and align the sales team with broader business objectives. This is very much a strategic role, as the company develops and aspires to reach its potential through organic and acquisitional growth. The successful candidate should be capable of fostering a positive and collaborative working environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development. Location: Greater Manchester / North Cheshire Reports To: Managing Director.

Ideally, this person will be a strong sales leader, someone who has exposure to selling and winning work through both specification (architects, main contractors) and builders merchant channels. This person will have an appreciation of managing the contracts side of the business. Our client both manufacturers and installs, and so selling the whole package is necessary. Of priority is this person’s ability to lead and develop teams. They will have experience in assessing inherited teams, nurturing talent, and making strategic adjustments to build a high-performing group. Comfortable leading sales strategies, this person will have experience of devising, implementing, and reviewing key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a hands-on approach initially, embracing a proactive role within the team. Over time, they will be expected to build and empower a high-performing team, effectively delegating responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyse complex data and make data-driven decisions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
