The regionally adopted accreditation process of Non-State Actors was not fully implemented as priority has been given to COVID response. Acting on adopted resolution of 2020 A thorough review of the list of non-State actors who are invited annually to the RC was conducted in December 2023. Out of the 51 NSAs annually invited to the Regional Committee, 13 entities were found to be non-accredited and not in any official relations with WHO. The remaining 38 entities are in official relations with WHO and their status is reviewed every three years 2

Beginning of March Secretariat approaches entities exceptionally approved by PSC to attend RC71 End of March Entities submit application April Secretariat reviews applications for eligibility June Final approval of PSC to submit entities for RC approval following due diligence October Approval of RC on suggested accreditation Exceptional timeline for accreditation 2024-2025 3

Nov.–Dec. Entities submit application January Secretariat reviews applications for eligibility, transmits to subcommittee (SCRC) February SCRC preliminary approves received applications June Final approval of SCRC to submit entities for RC approval following due diligence October RC session with MS accreditation decision Regular timeline for accreditation 4

The Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) Hamdard Foundation Pakistan (HFP) Arab Hospitals Federation (AHF) Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) Four entities applied and fulfilled due diligence 6

To consider the applications from the four entities If agreed, to grant accreditation to the four non-State actors (NSAs) for three years commencing 17th of October 2024 in line with the Framework of Engagement with Non-State Actors Action by the committee 7 1. 2.
