Course Title National Service Training Program - CWTS
Course Description Provide the framework for youth citizenship to aid in the development of the nation.
Course Credits 3 units (2 hours lecture & 1 hr. clean and green program)
Prerequisite NSTP 11

GOALS OF COLLEGE OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
1.Production of highly trained health care and nutrition professional with proper work values and attitude.
2.Meet the educational and developmental needs of the society by providing quality health care education.
3.Establishment of strong linkages among the health care institutions within the region and beyond.
OBJECTIVES OF COLLEGE OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
1.To provide the students with theoretical and experiential learning based on academic standards and
utilization of modern laboratories.

2.To produce morally upright health care and nutrition professionals.
3.To conduct research and extension activities in relation to the needs of the society that will contribute to

4.To apply the concepts of comprehensive health and nutritional care for the total wellness of the community.
5.To strengthen partnerships with health care organizations for effective integration of needed related learning
experiences.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Graduate of the BSHM are professionals who:
1. promote the role of nutrition and dietetics for human well-being in relation to the needs, resources and
potentials of individuals, groups and families.
2. practice comprehensive nutritional care for the total wellness of individuals in a multidisciplinary and multi-
cultural settings.
3. integrate nutrition concerns with local and national development efforts.
4. manage nutrition programs for individuals, groups and institutions.
5. manage a foodservice unit in hospital or other settings.
6. implement an economically viable activity related to nutrition and dietetics.
7. design and/or conduct a scientific study on food, nutrition and related topics.
8. uphold ethical standards of the profession.
9. engage in lifelong learning activities.
Program Outcomes LO1. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the diversity of learners in various learning areas.
LO2. Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of the different subject
areas.
LO3. Utilize appropriate assessment and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.
LO4. Manifest skills in communication, higher order thinking and use of tools and technology to accelerate
learning and teaching.
LO5. Demonstrate positive attributes of a model teacher, both as an individual and as a professional.

Course Objectives/
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the students would be able to promote civic consciousness among them and shall
develop their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It shall inculcate the ideals of patriotism,

nationalism, and advance their involvement in public and civic affairs. They shall be motivated, trained, organized

Written/Performance Activities – 30% (This includes worksheets, exercises, essays, narratives, critics,
audio/video recordings, among others as part of the enhancement activities found in the module)

Major Exams – 40% (This includes the three summative tests as stipulated in the catch-up plan)
