Numbers Basics of Number System Types of Numbers :- Natural Numbers –ex.1,2,3,4 (Starting from 1) Whole Numbers- ex.0,1,2,3,4 (Starting from 0) Integers – -∞….-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4…..∞ Even Numbers –Number which is divisible by 2. ex. 2,4,6,8.. ( 0 is not a Even Number) Odd Number – Numbers which are not divisible by 2 .ex. 1,3,5,7,9.. Prime Number – Numbers which are divisible by 1 or themselves. ex.2,3,5,7,11.   Some Basic Formulae :- (a+ b) 2  = (a 2  + b 2  + 2ab) ( a –  b ) 2  = ( a 2  + b 2  – 2 ab ) ( a 2 –  b 2 ) = ( a  +  b ) ( a  –  b ) ( a  +  b ) 3  = ( a 3  +3ab 2  + 3  a 2 b+  b 3 ) ( a –  b ) 3  = ( a 3  -3  a 2 b  +3ab 2  – b 3 ) ( a 3  +  b 3 ) = ( a  +  b )( a 2  –  ab  +  b 2 ) ( a 3 –  b 3 ) = ( a  –  b )( a 2  +  ab  +  b 2 ) ( a +  b  +  c ) 2  =  a 2  + b 2  +  c 2  + 2( ab  +  bc  +  ca )

Formulae for Summation :- The sum of n consecutive natural numbers from 1= N(N+1)/2 The sum of n odd natural numbers from 1= N 2 The sum of n even natural numbers from 1= N(N+1) The sum of squares of Numbers = n(n+1)(2n+1)/6   VBODMAS Rule :- V- Vernacular B-Bracket O-Over D-Division M-Multiplication A-Addition S- Substraction
