Essential II:  Advocate For Patient Safety I have grown to understand the importance of planning organizational safety outlines that will enhance the care of patients and promote patient safety in all aspects of nursing, for example completing an accurate patient plan of care. In terms of strengths I can now practice with confidence, f or example patient safety time out and verifying patient five safety checks before medication administration.

4. Program Student Learning Outcomes: Incorporate best practices and the most current evidence when using clinical reasoning to make practice decisions. Strengths I was able to incorporate evidence base practice as apart of my nursing skillset Growth I know understand the importance of evidence base practice nursing and why it is implemented into practice.

5. General Education Competencies: D emonstrate the ability to draw conclusions based on evidence and consider prior knowledge, context and perspectives in predicting implications or consequences. Strengths I have learned how to implement my learned skill set into practice and continue to improve everyday as nursing and its challenges are forever evolving. Growth I can confidently assess my patient, create a plan of care, and provide quality patient care while effectively keeping doctors updated and informed of changes.

6. Growth Improvement Examine practice for promotion of social justice . In this area I have little experience where I know the process of formulating a proposal but in terms of following through the process I have little interest and this is very important because these decisions governed nursing practices and overall patient care. Explore socio-cultural , economic, legal influence on practice . I currently have experience with identifying the power of attorney, DNR, a little background education on economics in terms of poverty and socioeconomic status, however, further exploration of social culture and the effects it has on patients overall health outcome is needed.
