4. IMPORTANCE OF MEASUREMENT: Provide a base to understand the universe. T o check student's progress F or gathering relevant information. T o measure certain object. Used in research field.

5. EVALUATION According to Ralph Tyler, “Evaluation is the process of determining to what extent the educational objectives are being realized .” According to J.W. Wrightstone, “Evaluation is a new technical term introduced to design a more comprehensive concept of measurement.”

6. OBJECTIVES OF EVALUATION To provide information. To make a periodic check on the effectiveness of the educational institutes. To validate the hypotheses of educational institutes. To provide certain psychological security.

7. IMPORTANCE OF EVALUATION Evaluation helps teacher to discover the needs of the pupils. Evaluation helps the parents to understand pupil. Evaluation is helpful to the teacher. Evaluation is helpful to fulfill classroom objectives .

8. ROLE OF MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION IN EDUATION To determine what and how much knowledge have been acquired. To determine what and how much values have been implied. To determine what and to what extent skills have been acquired. To determine teacher’s efficiency and strategies used.
