A NEW CONCEPT OF LEADERSHIP TECHNIQUE PREPARED BY: MS. FRITZIE ANNE LAURENTE

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the 60 minutes discussion, the BSED-MAPEH 3 students shall have done the following with 85% accuracy: a. explain the three-dimensional concept of leadership technique and its implication to management , b. appreciate the importance of the qualifications of being a management leader; and c. think of one word that best describes an effective leader when it comes to management.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL CONCEPT OF LEADERSHIP TECHNIQUE PROPOSED BY: DR. JOHNSON (1960)

Dr. S amuel Johnso n (1960)

Using the three-dimensional model, the new leadership approach would mean numerous combinations. The new type of leadership is characterized by the ability to suit the appropriate technique or approach to a given situation.

SELECTIVE APPROACH TO MANAGEMENT This new type of leadership is characterized by the ability to suit the appropriate technique or approach to a given situation. This type of leadership suggests that mastery lies in knowing when to use which method. In short, selective leadership is a logical adaptation of autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire techniques to appropriate situation seeking to put leadership on a rational basis.
