BEFORE THE CONTEST 1 Decide on the dress code (color) to wear as a team with identification cards; 2 Prepare signage (region/number) for the region assigned to you; 3 Visit the contest venue for familiarity and ask assigned persons to coordinate with (ex. Stand by printer operator/ technician) 4 Attend the orientation and make sure that the regional delegation you manage attentively listen as well
DURING THE CONTEST Be at the venue at 6:00 A.M Sign in the attendance sheet (for proctors’ time in and time out ) Stay at the designated assembly area and hold the signage for the assigned contestants/team to see July 9, 2024

DURING THE CONTEST NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE Let the team settle first, and have their materials in place (four laptops, printer, bond paper, extension wires) Lead the team in the designated scriptwriting room; Accompany the team in claiming their laptops
DURING THE CONTEST NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE Hand over the envelope with contest piece, and announce the opening of the envelope at the synchronized time; Hand over the information sheet and make sure that the entries are properly and completely filled out;
Write the time started and the time they have to end on the board 1 hour and 30 minutes – writing of scripts (ex. 8:00-9:30) 30 minutes – printing (9:30-10:00) NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE DURING THE CONTEST
Stay with the team throughout the script production, accompany those who are going to the CR to ensure that they are not communicating with their coaches. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, remind the team that they have 30 minutes to have their scripts printed in 4 copies. NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE DURING THE CONTEST
DURING THE CONTEST NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE At the end of the time allotted for scriptwriting & printing: Ask the team leader to place the scripts & contest pieces inside the envelope Check if complete (contest pieces, 4 copies of scripts) Have the team leader seal the envelope Sign the sealed envelope and indicate the exact time the entry has been submitted to the focal person
Practice: (1.5 hours) Make sure to stay with the team as they rehearse their broadcast Attend to their needs and motivate them to do their best Lunch:
NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE BROADCASTING PROPER Holding Area: Team members will be transferred to separate holding areas (7 rooms) Wait for the announcement of the focal person as to the time the broadcast simulation will start
NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE BROADCASTING PROPER Once the signal to start has been announced, the first 3 teams will be accompanied to the radio station. The moment the 1 st team to present entered the broadcast room, the 4 th team will be accompanied to the radio station. This continues until the last team has presented.
NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE After the team has presented, lead the team to the assembly area, and wait until they are fetched by their coach. Fill out an incident report in case any unexpected or untoward incident transpires Check the materials, equipment, and room condition before you leave the venue.

Proctor’s Quick Guide Schedule Activity/Task Assigned Persons/People Involved Important Reminders for the Proctors 7:00–7:15 AM Assembly Draw lots All Hold a placard/board indicating the region you are assigned to. 7:15–7:45 AM Claiming and distribution of laptops (max of 4 laptops per team) Max of 4 members from the broadcast team; proctor assigned to the team Accompany the team members in getting their laptops. Ensure that they get the correct laptops. Only the students will carry the laptops. 8:00 – 9:30 AM Writing of scripts Proctors Keep an eye to what they are doing. 9:30 – 10:00 AM Printing of scripts Proctors Assist if needed. 10:00 – 11:30 AM Practice for broadcasting team
