gallantly Adverb of the word gallant which means:   Courteously attentive especially to women; chivalrous. Flirtatious. Two-Bit gallantly w alked the ladies home so they w ould be safe.

Sophisticated ( Adj ) Having acquired worldly knowledge or refinement; very complex or complicated

winced Past participle tense of the verb “wince.” Give a slight involuntary grimace or shrinking movement of the body out of pain or distress Sentence: The sound of fingernails scratching the chalk board makes me wince in pain.

Aloofness ( adv. ): at a distance, esp. in feeling or interest.

Impersonally (Adj.): not personal; without reference or connection to a particular person

Buckskin (n) Buckskin is a hair coat color of  horses ; referring to a color that resembles certain shades of tanned deerskin .

Ornery (Adj.): ugly and unpleasant in disposition or temper

Resignedly ( Adv ): submissive or acquiescent . Willingly accepting something without protesting.

Soused ( v ) slang - to make intoxicated

dumbfounded Past participle tense of the verb dumbfound, Greatly astonish or amaze. Sentence: They were dumbfounded by the foolish words he said.
