Percy bysshe Shelley Romantic age

Biography of Percy bysshe Shelley Percy bysshe Shelley was born on 4 August 1792, at Field place near Horsham,sussex England,and died on 8 July 1822 at young age 29. Percy bysshe Shelley was one greatest young English romantic poet , P.B Shelley was belonged to 2 nd generation poet . These three poets of second generation of Romanticism died young, Byron at the age of thirsty six ,John Keats at the age of 25 and P.B Shelley at the age of 29 .

Whereas Byron was greatest interpreter of revolutionary iconoclasm, Shelley was the revolutionary idealist ,a prophet of hope and faith. He was a visionary who dreamed of the Golden age. Between Byron and Shelley there many points of similarity, both are aristocrats ,both were in revolt against all established authority,political and moral . Shelley was known as one of greatest lyric poet in the history of English. Shelley was a famous   English romantic poet   whose poetry reflects passion, beauty, imagination, love, creativity, political liberty and nature.

Early education of Shelley He was educated at Eton and oxford. After a year at university he was expelled(1811) for having published pamphlet on the “The necessity of Atheism” Which poem consist on twelve cantos. In this pamphlet the Shelley questioned existence of God and the role of Christianity . Soon afterwards he left school with Harriet Westbrook. Then Shelley first got married to 16 years old school girl Harriet Westbrook and also had child . Then they later got separated.

Famous works of Shelley Queen Mob (1813) was first long peom of Shelley, which he wrote at the age of 18. He condemns kings, Government,church and Christianity. And other his long poem was “ The Revolt of Islam ” this poem was written in 1817 when Shelley was living at Marlow near London. Adonais An elegy which he wrote on the death of his friend Keats . Alastor (1816) was other great poem of Shelley in which he describe his pursuit.

According to PB Shelley “ All poets are unacknowledged and legislators of the world”.
