Province of Palawan is an archipelagic province of the Philippines that is located in the region of MIMAROPA . Its capital is the city of Puerto Princesa , but the city is governed independently from the province as a highly urbanized city.

CLIMATE The province has two types of climate: northern and southern extremities and the entire western coast ; has two distinct seasons – six months dry and six months wet . eastern coast ; has a short dry season of one to three months and no pronounced rainy period during the rest of the year.
LANGUAGES There are 52 languages and dialects in the province Cuyonon (26.27 percent ) Palawano (4.0 percent ) Hiligaynon (19 percent )
ECONOMY The three major crops are palay , corn and coconut. Logging one of the richest fishing grounds in the country. The economic and agricultural business growth of province is at 20% per annum
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary located in Calauit Island It is known for its wildlife sanctuary
Coron Reefs, Coron Bay, Busuanga Seven lakes surrounded by craggy limestone cliffs
El Nido Marine Reserve Park The park is rich with varied ecosystems such as rainforest, mangroves, incredible white sand beaches, coral reefs, and limestone cliffs.
Malampaya Sound Land and Seascape Protected Area a watershed and fishing ground, and the habitat of Bottle-nosed and Irrawaddy dolphins.

Puerto Princesa City Foundation Day and Balayong Festival celebrated on the 14th day of March.

Arawedan Festival held from January 23 to January 24 in Port Barton showcases the numerous tourist attractions of the municipality
