Nouns are naming words.  There are two types of nouns: What Are Nouns? common nouns proper nouns These are the names of things you find around you.  Example: book, mobile phone, shoes These are the names of people, places and organisations. 8. Adjectives are describing words. We use adjectives to make nouns sound more interesting. What Are Adjectives? We can see that the word “beautiful” is an adjective that is describing the noun “flower” . adjective Example:  Look at that beautiful flower . common noun
