2. The passive voice is formed with the verb to be and the
past participleof the main verb.
The coffee is servedby the waiter.
A pizza iscooked by the chef.

The object of the active sentence becomes the subject
of the passive one.

The verb to be in the passive sentence is in the same
tense as the main verb in the active sentence.

In the passive sentence, we use the past participle of the
main verb in the active sentence.

When we want to mention who performed the action, we use
the word By Agent

8. Active :James carries a new door
Passive:A new door is carried by James.
Active:Jack cleans the dishes
Passive :The dishes are cleaned by Jack.

9. Active :Philip won the race.
Passive : The race was won by Philip
Active :Theo directed the film.
Passive :The film was directed by Theo

10. Active :Jack passed the exam.
Passive : The Exam was passed by Jack
Active :The thief robbed a bank.
Passive :A Bank was robbed by the thief
