Past Tense Rule: Regular Verbs We add '-ed' to regular verbs to talk about the past. Examples: cook → cooked walk → walked clean → cleaned visit → visited watch → watched
Pronunciation of '-ed' Endings There are three sounds for '-ed': /t/ → walked, watched /d/ → cleaned, played /ɪd/ → visited, decided Repeat after the teacher several times.
