Setting One’s Vision
What is a VISION ? It is how one sees the world A mental image of what the future will or could be like
How to make a VISION ? Think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom What is my ultimate dream? How do you see yourself in the future?
Knowing One’s Mission
What is a MISSION ? It is an action plan to accomplish your dream It is the actual steps and operations to carry out a goal
How to make a MISSION ? Make an action and think of the specific actions needed to be accomplished over time Enroll in a good university Graduate on time and obtain a degree Get skills from training
Determining One’s Purpose
What is a PURPOSE ? The reason for which something is done or created It gives people the drive to continue even when there are challenges
Examples of a PURPOSE Think of your reason to keep moving forward GOALS & DREAMS MEANING IN LIFE FAMILY & FRIENDS DESIRES
Making a Personal Mission Statement
What is a PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT ? It is an expression of one’s purpose or advocacy clearly stating your goal that will serve as personal guide in achieving a dream
An example of a Personal Mission Statement: “I aspire to be a globally competitive graduate (vision) by enriching my 21 st century skills (mission); thus, becoming an effective communicator, efficient collaborator, critical thinker, and creative contributor to nation building (purpose)”
