3. RABBIT Rabbit are widely used in experimental purpose and testing mainly due to practical, rather than scientific considerations. They are small and usually docile easily restricted cheap to maintain and breed prodigiously. Most of the people are associates the use of rabbit in laboratory with toxicity testing for cosmetic personal and household product. Best known test are the draize eye and skin irritancy test ,which are extremely painful and cruel. The dwarf rabbit variety lives up12 years, while large breed live up to 5-8 years.

4. Additionally because of their high rate of reproduction , rabbit are also used to test development or embryotoxicity. Used in basic biomedical research. As a model for disease and disorder of the eye ,skin ,heart and immune system as well as asthma ,cystic fibrosis and diabetes. Another common use of rabbit is in painful procedure to produce polyclonal antibiotic, which are widely used for a variety of research and diagnostic purpose.
