Article 4: Commitment to Students 1 Student's Well-being Teachers are obligated to prioritize the overall well-being and development of their students, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment. 2 Respect and Dignity The Code mandates teachers to treat all students with respect, recognizing their unique backgrounds and fostering a sense of belonging. 3 Fair and Equitable Treatment Teachers must ensure that all students receive equitable access to learning opportunities and resources, regardless of their background or abilities. 4 Protection from Harm Teachers are responsible for safeguarding students from harm, abuse, and neglect, both within and outside the school setting.

Promoting the Best Interest of Students Academic Excellence Teachers strive to facilitate a stimulating learning environment that supports student success and promotes academic excellence. This may include engaging teaching methods, individualized learning plans, and opportunities for student-led learning. Personal Growth Teachers recognize that students' academic success is intertwined with their personal growth and development. They may incorporate activities that foster critical thinking, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and social-emotional learning. Career Guidance Teachers should provide students with guidance and support to explore their interests and career aspirations, helping them make informed decisions about their future paths.

Respecting the Dignity and Rights of Students 1 Privacy and Confidentiality Teachers are expected to respect students' privacy and confidentiality, particularly when dealing with sensitive personal information. 2 Freedom of Expression Teachers must foster an environment where students feel comfortable expressing their views and ideas, even if they differ from the teacher's own opinions. 3 Fair Treatment and Justice Teachers should ensure that students are treated fairly and with justice, upholding their rights and providing equal opportunities for learning and development.

Maintaining a Professional Relationship with Students Boundaries and Professionalism Teachers are expected to maintain professional boundaries in their interactions with students, avoiding any behaviors that could be misconstrued as inappropriate or compromising. Respectful Communication Teachers should communicate with students in a respectful and professional manner, using appropriate language and tone.
