PLC is a class of membrane-associated enzymes that cleave phospholipids just before the phosphate group. It has important role in Signal Transduction. Binds to G α q subunit of G- Protein Coupled Receptor and activates it. Activators - Heterotrimeric G protein subunits, Protein Tyrosine kinases , Small G proteins, Ca 2+ and Phospholipids.
