4. PHRASE •A phrase is group of words (within a sentence) without both subject and verb. •A phrase functions as noun , verb , prepositional , appositive , infinitive and adjective.

It is separated from the rest of the sentence with a commas.

14. INFINITIVE PHRASE •An infinitive phrase is a group of words that uses an infinitive (“to” + verb). An infinitive is a verbal (a word that expresses action); so, an infinitive phrase has the same role of expressing action in a sentence. Examples: I told the dog to run home quickly. 2. I want to eat pizza for dinner.

15. ADJECTIVE PHRASE •An adjective phrase is a group of words that describes a noun/pronoun in a sentence that what kind and which one the noun/pronoun is.
