2. INTRODUCTION TO NONDETERMINISTIC DOMAINS Non deterministic domains are such in which Agent can plan first and then execute plan with eyes closed. Uncertain environments are kind of environment exists for Nondeterministic Domains. When the environment is either partially observable or nondeterministic (or both) percepts become useful. In a partially observable environment, every percept helps narrow down the set of possible states the agent might be in, thus making it easier for the agent to achieve its goals.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS AND ADAPTATION General Characteristics Of Uncertain Environments are as follows: Incomplete (partially observable and/or nondeterministic), Incorrect (differences between world and model) information, Use percepts. Adapt plan when necessary Degree of uncertainty defined by indeterminacy Bounded : actions can have unpredictable effects, yet can be listed in action description axioms Unbounded: preconditions and effects unknown or too large to enumerate.

4. CATEGORIES OF PLANNING AND ACTING IN NONDETERMINISTIC DOMAINS Sensorless Planning : Unbounded: preconditions and effects unknown or too large to enumerate . Conditional Planning : Conditional plannings are sometimes termed as contingency planning and deals with bounded indeterminacy discussed earlier. Agent makes a plan, evaluate the plan and then execute it fully or partly depending on the condition.

5. CATEGORIES OF PLANNING AND ACTING IN NONDETERMINISTIC DOMAINS Online Replanning : Replanning presupposes some form of execution monitoring to determine the need for a new plan. One such need arises when a contingent planning agent gets tired of planning for every little contingency, such as whether the sky might fall on its head.3 Some branches of a partially constructed contingent plan can simply say Replan There are three levels they are as follows : Action monitoring 2. Pan monitoring 3.Goal monitoring.
