Plaque control is the removal of dental plaque on a regular basis and the prevention of its accumulation on the teeth and adjacent gingival surfaces. It is a critical component of dental practice, permitting long-term success of periodontal and dental care. Accumulation=High Density Adjacent=Next Critical=Important

The experimental research of european periodontist have confirmed that effective removal of dental plaque is essential to dental and periodontal health throughout life. Essential =Needful Confirmed =Support

An effective way of treating and preventing gingivitis and a critical part of treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases is returned to toothbrushing method. Gingivitis=Gingival Edema

The Bass Method

1.In this method,we put the bristles in gingival margin to make a 45 degrees angle with axial line of tooth. 2.Then we press and vibrate the bristles gently with short movements.

3.For the Lingual surface of lower anterior teeth , toothbrush is entered vertically.

4.For the oclusal surfaces,we move the bristles into the pits and fissures about 20times.
