What is pluera The pleura incudes two thin layers that protect and cuhsion the lungs Inner layer ( visceral pluera ) Outer layer( parietal pluera )
Definition It is defined as a condition where there is a inflammation of tissue layers lining the lungs and inner chest wall and characterized by sharp chest pain

Wet pleurasy It is accompanied by abnormal increase in pleural fluids If the effusion contains purulent materials, it is called empyma If the empyma ultimately leads to fibrous fusing of the lungs and chest wall, it is then called fibro thorax .
Sings and symptoms Sharp,Stabbing,tearing pain in the affected area Pain worse on coughing,deep respiration and preassure from outside Rapid shallow breathing with unproductive cough Chills Fever AUSCULTATION: pleuritic rub of crackling quality during both inspiration and expration
