All MinSU faculty (full-time/part-time, with approved appointments). Undergraduate and graduate students officially enrolled. Faculty/students on leave, if cleared and compliant with rules. Who are covered? Academic conferences, symposia, workshops, fora, competitions, and exhibitions. Events must be credible: organized by HEIs, government agencies, or professional associations, recognized by CHED/DOST/DA-BAR, indexed in Scopus/Web of Science, or part of MinSU’s MOA/MOU. Where can they present? RESEARCH, INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND EXTENSION Naujan Lake

Research papers, policy studies, creative works, prototypes, and similar outputs. Must be: internally reviewed/approved; done within the last 3 years; not yet published or presented; & aligned with MinSU RDE Agenda, PDP 2023–2028, national priorities, or SDGs. What outputs are covered? Financial: registration, travel, accommodation, per diem. Administrative: endorsements, travel orders, leave/visa assistance. FUNDING SCHEMES & COVERAGE RESEARCH, INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND EXTENSION Naujan Lake In cases where faculty members receive sponsorships or partial funding from external sources (e.g., government agencies, partner institutions, private donors), only the unfunded or excess expenses shall be covered by the University. However, such institutional support shall not exceed the maximum allowable allocation under Scheme 1 and Scheme 2. This ensures judicious use of institutional funds while encouraging the leveraging of external resources.

APPLICATION & SCREENING PROCESS RESEARCH, INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND EXTENSION Naujan Lake Faculty applicants must submit their request for funding at least 30 days before the scheduled conference. Submitted research should be completed within the past three years, have undergone in-house review, and must not have been previously published. Screening will be conducted by a panel under the Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Office. The screening panel will evaluate the credibility of the hosting body, the peer-review process of the conference, and the academic merit of the research output.

APPLICATION & SCREENING PROCESS RESEARCH, INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND EXTENSION Naujan Lake 5. Participation in suspicious or predatory conferences will be disapproved. 6. Faculty Prioritization Based on Rank and Project Alignment. 7. In line with promoting research capability-building among early- to mid-career faculty, priority for institutional funding and presentation opportunities shall be given to faculty members holding the ranks of Instructor I up to Assistant Professor IV. Associate Professors and higher-ranked faculty members may also be considered for funding and support provided that their participation is directly tied to an existing institutionally or externally funded research project, with deliverables explicitly requiring paper or poster presentation as stipulated in the approved line-item budget (LIB).

POST-CONFERENCE REQUIREMENTS RESEARCH, INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND EXTENSION Naujan Lake Within 30 days after the conference, the faculty member is required to submit a post-conference report detailing insights gained, relevance of the event to their research agenda and institutional goals, and how acquired knowledge or network will be utilized. Faculty grantees are expected to submit the presented paper to a CHED-recognized or indexed journal (Scopus or Web of Science) within six months after the conference.
