Listening Skills: Using News Broadcast Why do we listen to the news? It helps us to navigate through difficult conversation. It enables us to be a good and effective listener as well as speaker. It decreases the space of misunderstanding. It helps improve all over communication

Now listen to this News clip and try to answer the following activity: So, you notice that this news is read in detail which uses articles, auxiliaries, conjunctions, etc.

Activity 1 Now solve this exercise based on the above News clip: Germany's leader has……… her fears about climate change after visiting the devastation……..by the severe flooding in Europe. Chancellor Angela Merkel said she………… horrified by the destruction across swathes of her country. We have to ……….faster in the fight against climate change. Did you notice? Use of articles auxiliaries conjunctions They have rarely been used. Generally, the present simple sentences have been used. So now, let’s understand some grammar rules and their reasons:
