THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE DURATION OF TUBERCULOSIS TREATMENT AND THE INCIDENCE OF STRESS IN TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS AT RSU PEKERJA Mardihyana 22090270046 UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH JAKARTA

Background Presentation title 2 indonesia ranks second in asia . In the community, there are still many pulmonary TB patients who forget or are lazy to take medicine and control regularly, as a result of treatment for 2-6 months, so this triggers an increase in stress in tuberculosis patients related to the treatment they undergo. the treatment they are undergoing. Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (OAT) are the most important component in TB treatment. TB treatment is one of the most efficient efforts to prevent the further spread of bacteria. The stages of TB treatment consist of 2 stages, namely: the initial stage of treatment for all new patients is given OAT for 2 months and the advanced stage is given OAT for 4 months. Pulmonary TB treatment takes a long time so that TB patients get bored of taking medication and TB patients will stop treatment because they feel cured, besides that there are side effects after taking OAT. chapter 1

Background Presentation title 3 TB treatment is faced with various social, psychological and economic problems, with a higher number of complications. Mental illnesses such as stress, anxiety or depression can occur as illnesses in TB patients and can have a negative impact on quality of life and therapy results, therefore a wider evaluation of the patient's overall health profile is also needed. ( Febi et al., 2021) Based on the results of interviews with 10 pulmonary TB patients at the RSU Pekerja pulmonary clinic, three patients said they were bored of taking medicine. Two patients were fed up with having to drink it every day for a long time. Three patients said they were frustrated with the side effects of the drug, three of whom were reluctant to take the medication because they felt they had no cough symptoms. Based on this phenomenon, the author is interested in further researching "The Relationship between Length of Treatment and Stress Events in TB Patients at the RSU pekerja ."

Problem Formulation Presentation title 4 Relationship between duration of tuberculosis treatment and incidence of stress in TB patients at the RSU Pekerja research objectives This study aims to determine the relationship between length of treatment and the incidence of stress in TB patients at the RSU Pekerja

Benefits of research Presentation title 5 to find out the impact of long treatment on the patient's psychology and be able to provide clear information and education, so that the patient can be physically and psychologically healthy the results of this study can be a reference or illustration of the relationship between length of treatment and the incidence of stress in TB patients at RSU Pekerja The results of this research can be used as new insights and a source of knowledge regarding the relationship between duration of treatment and stress in TB patients at the RSU pekerja

Conceptual framework Presentation title 6 TUBERCULOSIS : (diagnosis) Duration of TB treatment : 1. initial phase (2 months) 2. continuation phase (4 months) 3. Side effects of medication stres

Presentation title 7 In this study, the conceptual framework consists of two variables, namely the independent variable is the duration of TB treatment and the dependent variable is stress in TB patients. Conceptual framework

Hypothesis Presentation title 8 Ha: There is a relationship between the duration of TB treatment and the incidence of stress in TB patients at the RSU pekerja H0: There is no relationship between the duration of TB treatment and the incidence of stress in TB patients at the RSU pekerja

Questionnaire

RESEARCH METHODS Presentation title 11 This research is a type of quantitative research with analytical descriptive. The design of this research is cross sectional, the aim is to determine whether there is a relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable in measurements using a measuring instrument in the form of a questionnaire. This research was carried out at the Respiratory Department of RSU Pekerja in January 2024. The number of TB patients in the respiratory department was 127, then calculated using the Slovin formula and the results were obtained:

Presentation title 12 Result Overview of respondents' characteristic Age Gender education 25-26 (80%) people Men 26 Women 36 College 27 people duration of TB treatment amount <2 month > 2 month 32 peole (51,6%) 30 people (48,4%) stressful events amount Stress Tidak stress 30 peole (48,4%) 32 people (51,6 %)

Presentation title 13 Bivariate Analysis duration of TB treatment stressful events total OR CI 95% P value stress No stress n % n % n % 0,58 0,016-0,203 0,000 < 2 mont 6 9,7 26 41,9 32 51,6 >2 mont 24 48,4 6 9,7 30 48,4 total 30 48,4 31 51,6 62 100

with the statistical test results obtained p value = 0.000 (<0.05), so you can conclusion that there is a significant relationship. From the analysis results obtained OR= 0.58, meaning that respondents who underwent treatment for > 2 months had a chance 0.203 times to experience stress. Coomon Odds Ratio Value Lower Limit and Upper Limit shows the upper limit and lower limit of OR which means: 43 respondents who underwent treatment for > 2 months were at least equal to 0.016 times more likely to experience stress and a maximum of 0.203 times experiencing stress Presentation title 14 conclusion
