2. SUMMARY
Council included funds for area beautification
improvements in FY 2024 Budget
Council approved landscaped design services in
April 2024 for landscaping & configuration
improvements to intersection at Broadway & Ogden
Lane
Proposed additional agreement with TBG Partners
(TBG) for additional professional landscape
architectural design services

3. BACKGROUND
FY 2024 Budget included at least $3.0 million for
beautification improvements
TBG led Council workshops in August & October 2023 & June and
July 2024 on potential beautification projects, including
improvements in Alamo Heights Pool area & to intersection at
Broadway & Ogden
April 2024, Council approved agreement with TBG for
architectural and design services
Additional Service Request #01 to provide additional services not
included in executed agreement for proposed Broadway & Ogden
improvements

Realigned intersection
Wider sidewalk zones,
patio/plaza spaces &
landscaped planting
zones
Pedestrian-focused with
mid-block crossing,
pavements & lighting

5. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
SERVICES
TBG to provide additional landscape architectural
design services in order to develop and finalize site
schematic design documents for project
Project to utilize American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds
–must have funds committed no later than December
31, 2024

Consistent with City practice to negotiate fees for
professional services
Consistent with City’s interest to have professional
expertise to articulate & incorporate City
priorities in project
