Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Rajasthan Also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park   situated in Rajasthan. Bharatpur bird sanctuary is one of the best bird sanctuaries in India and one of the finest bird parks in the world.  Apart from the   Great Thar Desert , Big forts and beautiful lakes, Birds of bharatpur sanctuary are one of the major tourist attractions in Rajasthan.  The bharatpur bird sanctuary is paradise for the bird lover’s to watch some of the  most exotic birds in the world .

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Haryana Sultanpur bird sanctuary is home for several colorful winged migratory species, located at Gurgaon district of Haryana.  Its small area comprising with shallow freshwater  sultanpur lake, where 100 of migratory bird species visit to feed every year.  The Sultanpur national Park  has a rich variety of wild animals along with the beautiful birds.

Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Goa Salim Ali Bird sanctuary is one of the best known & very famous bird sanctuary in India.   It is one of the smallest bird sanctuaries where flying Sparrows, Beautiful peafowl, Parrots, pelican, Indian giant squirral  Beyond the  Beaches of Goa, Salim Ali bird sanctuary is one of the major tourist attractions in Goa.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kerala Kumarakom bird sanctuary also known as Vembanad bird sanctuary is situated at in land of attraction Kerala,  near to the famous  Vembanad lake .  It offers a home to a large number of migratory birds like  Flycatcher, Teal, Siberian Stork, Crane, Parrots and Wood Beetle . by riding a houseboat will be the best way for birdwatching in Kerala.

Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary, Karnataka Ranganthittu bird sanctuary is situated near to the banks of the  Kaveri river in Karnataka. The exotic migratory birds like light Ibis, Egret, Partridge, Heron, River Tern, Snake Bird, stone Plougher are the attraction for the tourist. This is an important tourist destination of Mysore and is located about 20 kilometers from the famous Brindavan garden lies adjoining theKrishnarajasagara dam.

Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary, Tamil Nadu The Vedanthangal bird sanctuary is the oldest bird sanctuary in India, situated in Tamil Nadu. The   vedanthankal lake   region attracted a variety of birds such as pintail, garganey, grey wagtail, blue-winged teal, common sandpiper. The best time to visit this sanctuary is from November to March.

Chintamoni Kar Bird Sanctuary, kolkata Chintamoni Kar Bird Sanctuary   situated at south Kolkata  and near narendrapur ramakrishna mission.   This place is famous for the place for birds.  This garden is famous for availability of wide variety of  birds, butterflies, ferns  and  orchids. The orchard originally covered 27 acres but had shrunk to 17 acres by the time it was acquired.

Kaundinya Bird Sanctuary, Andhra Pradesh It is situated near Chittor i n Andhra Pradesh. The habitat is rugged with high hills and  deep valleys  and Kaigal and Kaundinya are two beautiful streams, which flow through the sanctuary.  Kaundinya sanctuary offers the best of wildlife and bird watching in India. Pied Horn Bill birds mostly present in Kaundinya Bird Sanctuary.

Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary, Orissa Chilka lake bird sanctuary is very popular among tourists,located near puri in  Orissa. The chilka lake is the most beautiful brackish water lake in Asia and famous for a rich variety of birds. Chilka Lake serves as a bird sanctuary and is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds in India.

Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, Gujarat Nal Sarovar bird sanctuary comprising of a huge lake and ambient marshes, is situated in Ahmedabad.  Nal Sarovar bird sanctuary is the largest wetland bird sanctuary in Gujarat , and one of the largest in India, spot birds like Flamingos, Pelicans, Spoonbills, Avocets, Coots, Pintails, small Cormorants, small Grebes and Shovellers .

Najafgarh drain bird sanctuary,delhi Visitors can catch a glance of wild cats, foxes, nilgai, hares, jackals, porcupines, snakes like cobras, monitor lizards, and other reptiles . Najafgarh Drain Bird Sanctuary encompasses wildlife habitat and wetland ecosystem . It has become a haven for migratory birds . During winter season , visitors can see a variety of migratory birds of different species at Najafgarh Drain Bird Sanctuary .

Gamgul bird sanctuary,himachal pradesh Gamgul Sanctuary is located in Bhandal Valley in Salooni tehsil,  Chamba District which lies in the   state   of   Himachal Pradesh   in the northern part of India . The northern end of this beautiful  sanctuary however, belongs to   Jammu and Kashmir .  It is believed that Gamgul  Wildlife  Sanctuary is the one and only regional sanctuary of this state which boasts of   Kashmir stag, a wonderful wild creature which survives in the upper ranges of the  Himalayas . Visitor’s time between the months of May till June and again during September.

Patna Bird Sanctuary,uttar pradesh Patna bird sanctuary is filled with birds and animal varieties provided with Safari to visit the 200 species of birds as per research. Location: Placed near Jalesar, Etah district of Uttar Pradesh.  Winter season is the ideal time to visit the sanctuary. Madhu Resorts, Mango Hotels are some of the hotels to accommodate around the sanctuary.  Covered by a wetland area of 108 hectares .

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary, tamilnadu Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary  is in  Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh  near the village of  Nelapattu.  It has an area of 458.92 hectares . 187 bird species can be found at Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary, 50 of which are migratory.

Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary, Andhra Pradesh Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary is located in  Nellore, Chittoor districts of Andhra Pradesh It occupies 481 km² Pulicat Lake is the second largest brackish-water eco-system in India after Chilka lake The biodiversity of this lake attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors per year.

Pathiramanal bird sanctuary, kerala The island is home to about 90 species of birds and 30 species of butterflies . There are about 160 species of plants, 55 species of fish and 20 species of spiders on the island. The small island known for its scenic beauty is also a favourite haunt of rare migratory birds. 

The  Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary  is located in  Uppalapadu, Andhra Pradesh Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary, Andhra Pradesh  Painted storks, spot-billed pelicans and other birds that migrate from various countries such as Siberia and Australia The bird population in these tanks used to be around 12,000 previously, however lately only about 7000 birds roost in this dwindling habitat through the year.

Mayani Bird Sanctuary,Maharashtra The Mayani bird sanctuary is globally reckoned for its gigantic range of species for migratory birds situated in Satara district of Maharashtra . Many migratory birds pass through the area, such as flamingos from Siberia come in large numbers. It is one of the most prominent and famous bird sanctuaries in India.
