Short circuit condition is a condition in which the input terminals of a power supply get in electrical contact with each other causing huge current flow. This leads to very large heat generation which can damage the system and also pose a threat to people nearby it. Thus short circuit condition is necessary to be detected and attended immediately. With the help of relay and proper circuit we lit up an indicator LED that glows only when there is short circuit event occurring.

A current that flows from one conductor to ground or to another conductor owing to an abnormal connection (including an arc) between the two. A short circuit is an abnormal connection between two nodes of an electric circuit intended to be at different voltages. Short Circuit can cause:- Interruption of essential facilities Extensive equipment damage Personal injury or fatality Possible fire damage

2. Short Circuit INDICATOR Short Circuit Indicator does the task of detecting the short circuit in a circuit in which it is connected automatically. It is protection against excessive currents or current beyond the acceptable current rating of equipment.
