CONTENTS: INTRODUCTION PROBLEM STATEMENT OBJECTIVES JUSTIFICATION METHODOLOGY EXPECTED OUTPUT TIME AND WORK SCHEDULE BUDGET 1

INTRODUCTION Jaw crushers are primarily responsible for reducing large rocks or ores into smaller and more manageable sizes. 2

PROBLEM STATEMENT The conventional designs of existing small scale jaw crusher often exhibit limitations such as: Potential hazards to operators. Sub-optimal crushing efficiency. Frequent component failures. Excessive energy consumption. 3

Main Objectives The primary objective of this study is to optimize the design of the jaw crusher to overcome the limitations discussed in the problem statement. Specific Objectives To improve crushing efficiency. To enhance operator safety. To optimize energy efficiency. To reduce maintenance requirements OBJECTIVES 4

JUSTIFICATION By addressing our objectives, the proposed study will contribute to the advancement of jaw crusher technology, benefiting both operators and the industry as a whole. The outcomes of this study will provide valuable insights into the design optimization of jaw crushers, leading to safer, more efficient, durable, and environmentally friendly crushing solutions. 5

METHODOLOGY The design optimization process will consist of the following steps : Detailed analysis of existing design. Identification of design limitations. Computer-aided design (CAD) modelling. Prototype development and testing. 6

EXPECTED OUTPUT The following deliverables are expected from the design optimization process: Design optimization report. CAD models and drawings. Prototype and test results. 7
