What is a Prepositional Phrase? • A group of words starting with a preposition • Includes the preposition and the object • Example: Three dogs ran through an empty field.

More Examples • The teacup inside the cupboard sat on top of a saucer. • Because of the rain, we stayed indoors and played chess.
