3. Present Continuous When we are talking about actions we are doing now and around now , we use the present continuous . The present continuous is formed with the verb ‘be’ + an - ing form of a verb: We are watching television. He is n’t sleeping . I ’m not reading . They are cycling . Some verbs have different spelling when + ing is added. These include swim - swimming and travel - travelling.

4. Present continuous can be used for something you are doing right now, or something you are doing around now .  If you are reading a book but stop to drink water, you are still ‘reading a book’ if you are going to keep reading after. Grammar Tip: You can also use present continuous for things that are true now but won’t be in the future, like ‘At the moment, I’m staying at my friend’s house. I am reading a book. Now I am reading a book. Now Present Continuous

5. You can use the present continuous with some time phrases. At the moment I’m studying.  I’m studying at the moment . I’m watching TV now . Now I’m watching TV. Present Continuous
