The HX7 Plus pack is a self contained Adjustable speed
Drive, that is rated for outdoor use in direct sunlight
With a Horsepower range from 60 Hp to 1500Hp
•The Plus Pack has been designed for the most brutal environments. Everywhere
from the blistering heat of the desert, to the freezing arctic circle, to the corrosive
offshore platforms, and even in underground mining applications.
•ThePlus Pack is self contained, so that all that is required is the incoming power,
and the motor leads. The drive is equipped with it’s own control power transformer,
it’s own maintenance free cooling system, and advanced protective functions to make
the drive as much a “Set it and Forget it” unit as possible.
•The Plus Pack springs from it’s predecessor the G3 Plus pack which earned a
reputation for durability, ruggedness, and reliability. As a matter of fact, when we
introduced the HX7 Plus Pack, customers expressed concern. They were happy with
the G3 Plus Pack, and didn’t want it changed. The upgrade was necessary, as the
components to produce the control boards were no longer available. The power
platform of the Plus Pack was not redesigned, and is as reliable as the G3 Plus
pack has proven to be.

Optional 12 Pulse Plus Pack
In an effort to minimize Harmonic Distortion transmitted up the
incoming power lines, that will minimizes transformer and motor
heating;
The 12 pulse option will
require an external phase shift
transformer to be purchased,
contact the Application engineers
helpline for specific details and
specifications for the transformer.
The difference between the 6 pulse
and the 12 pulse is the rectifiers, and
a second circuit breaker installed
There will also be some cabling
changes to accommodate the
transformer
