3. 3 ABOUT US Shri Shikshayatan College was founded on 8th July, 1955 for girls under affiliation to the University of Calcutta. Established by the Marwaris, a linguistic minority community. it is administered and managed by Shikshayatan Foundation (formerly Marwari Balika Vidyalaya Society, established in 1920) registered under the Societies Registration Act which runs it solely for educational purposes As a linguistic minority institution, the college enjoys protection under Article 30(1) of the Constitution of India The medium of instruction Is English, The College has been accredited four times by NAAC between 2003 and 2023 with grades B+, A, A and B++ respectively. VISION Our vision is to impart, promote and spread holistic education among girls to make them self-reliant members of the community. MISSION Empowerment of women in an environment of multiculturalism and egalitarianism. To develop a commitment to preservation of the environment and sustainable development. To uphold universal, moral and social values. To make the students globally competent through development of communication skills and the use of modern technology.

Our fest aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and creativity. With a plethora of events and performances. SRIJAN'24 promises an unforgettable experience. Events SRIJAN'24 features a diverse range of events catering to various interests including: Cultural Competitions: Dance, Music, Drama, Fashion Show. Literary Events: Debates, Quiz, Creative Writing, Treasure hunt. Artistic Exhibitions: Painting, Photography, Non-fire cooking . MEDIA COVERAGE : Telegraph(t2)
