THE ESSSENTIAL PACKAGE OF HEALTH SERVICE THE ESSSENTIAL PACKAGE OF HEALTH SERVICE The Essential Package of Health Services (EPHS) in Somalia is a comprehensive framework designed to ensure that all individuals have access to essential health service THE EPHS focuses on providing a minimum set of services that are critical for improving health outcames and reducing mortality rates. THE EPHS includes the following core programs: 1= maternal, reproductive and neonatal health: Ensuring safe childbirth, reducing maternal and neonatal mortality and providing reproductive helth services.
2= Child Health: Addressing common childhood illnesses, promoting immunization, and ensuring proper nutrition . 3=Communicable Disease Surveillance and Control : Monitoring and controlling the spread of infectious diseases such as HIV, TB, and malaria . 4= First Aid and Care of Critically Ill and Injured: Providing emergency care and treatment for critically ill and injured individuals . 6=Treatment of Common Illnesses : Managing common health conditions and providing primary healthcare services. 5= HIV , STIs, and TB: Offering prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services for HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and tuberculos .
