Abstract © BVRIT CSE 3 Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed alumni networking by enabling personalized engagement, career support, and lifelong learning opportunities. This research introduces an AI-driven alumni association platform designed to strengthen alumni-institution relationships through intelligent automation and tailored interactions. The platform integrates AI-powered chatbots, predictive analytics, and content recommendation systems to enhance networking, mentorship, and career opportunities. Additionally, it addresses key challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic fairness, and ethical considerations in AI-driven engagement. This paper explores the role of personalized AI in redefining alumni interactions, evaluates the technical and ethical challenges involved, and outlines future research directions to develop scalable, responsible, and adaptive AI-powered alumni platforms.

Introduction © BVRIT CSE 4 Purpose and Vision: A web platform to connect BVRIT alumni with current students for mentorship, networking, and career opportunities. Existing system AlmaConnect A popular alumni engagement platform used by many colleges and universities to facilitate alumni-student interaction, job postings, and event management. Graduway A global alumni networking platform that offers features like mentorship, directory access, and career opportunities, primarily for institutional alumni relations. LinkedIn While not institution-specific, LinkedIn enables professional networking between students and alumni globally, offering features like job listings, messaging, and profile discovery. 6 © BVRIT CSE

Problem Statement & Objectives Problem Statement: 1. Lack of a dedicated platform for BVRIT students and alumni to connect and share opportunities. 2. Existing systems do not offer personalized mentorship and career support. 3. Alumni find it difficult to contribute effectively through mentorship or event hosting. Objectives: 1. Create a secure platform for networking, mentorship, and career growth. 2. Offer personalized dashboards for students and alumni. 3. Enable easy posting of opportunities, events, and mentorship programs. 7 © BVRIT CSE

Algorithm Explanation 1. User Authentication User selects role: Student or Alumni If Student: Enter BVRIT email → Verify @bvrit.ac.in If valid, proceed to signup → Store in Firebase Auth Redirect to Student Introduction Form If Alumni: Enter any email → Proceed to signup Prompt for graduation proof upload Await Admin Verification If verified, redirect to Alumni Profile Form 13 2. Profile Creation Student/Alumni fills profile form Validate inputs (e.g., file types, required fields) Save profile data to Firestore DB Update user status: "Profile Complete" 3. Dashboard Routing On login, check user role from DB If Student → Redirect to Student Dashboard If Alumni → Redirect to Alumni Dashboard © BVRIT CSE

Algorithm Explanation 4. Student Dashboard Logic Fetch personalized data: Recommended alumni/communities/opportunities Enable: - Browse alumni directory - Register for events - Join communities - Apply for jobs/internships 14 5. Alumni Dashboard Logic Display mentorship activity and event stats Enable: - View student directory - Post/manage opportunities - Create/manage events - Respond to mentorship requests - Engage in communities © BVRIT CSE

Algorithm Explanation 6. Alumni Directory Search User applies filters (e.g., year, industry) Query Firestore using indexed fields Return matching alumni profiles Allow viewing detailed profile (based on privacy settings) 7. Opportunity Workflow Alumni posts job/internship → Save to DB Students view and apply → Application status stored per user Notifications sent for deadline updates/status changes 15 8. Events Workflow Alumni creates event → Form includes RSVP limit & host info Students view events → Can RSVP if not full Admin/event host manages RSVPs and attendance 9. Mentorship Flow Student sends request to alumni Alumni receives request → Accept/Reject If accepted: - Mentorship status saved - Enable scheduling/chat - Progress updates logged © BVRIT CSE

Algorithm Explanation 10. Chatbot Interaction User types a query (e.g., “How to join a community?”) Bot identifies intent using NLP Respond with: - Navigation help - Feature walkthrough - Personalized suggestions (based on user profile) 11. Admin Module View pending alumni verifications Approve/reject alumni requests Manage event moderation Monitor overall platform analytics 16 © BVRIT CSE
