Other examples of mood: hopeless, stressed, peaceful, festive, lonely, restless, reflective, frustrated, calm, frightening, sentimental, romantic What is Purpose? Purpose is the reason an author decides to write a certain topic. Some common purpose of a speaker is to inform, persuade, or entertain.
