DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY TO CONSERVE WATER PRODUCED BY AIR CONDITIONERS AND RECONSTITUTE IT WITH MINERAL SALTS FOOD AND BIOTECHNOLOGY RESEARCH CENTRE PCSIR LABORATORIES COMPLEX LAHORE
INTRODUCTION Environmental protection has been a prime focus and a matter of grave concern for the enlightened and rational societies of the world. Efforts towards water conservation can address the inadequate supply and poor quality of water. The techniques that are already in practice include the treatment of sewage and industrial water, the construction of Dams, Canals, and barrages), urban planning, and more plantation (to increase groundwater table level). Here we report the use of pure water obtained after treatment of condensate from air conditioning systems. The climate of Pakistan is such that its air contains a high level of moisture during summer and autumn. This moisture is condensed back to water by the domestic and industrial air conditioning systems. Unfortunately, no efforts have been made in the country to cash on this good quality of water
