PRESSURE VESSELS AND PIPING HAZARD - OVERVIEW 8 BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL | ©Jabil Inc. 2019. All Rights Reserved. Pressure Vessels are containers that are designed to hold liquids, vapors, or gases at high pressures. Pressure piping is a set of pipes that are used to contain fluid at high pressure. In this standard, the pressure criterion for pressure vessel and piping is the pressure equals to or greater than 0.1 MPa (1 bar, 15psig)
Slide 9
PRESSURE VESSELS AND PIPING HAZARD - OVERVIEW 9 BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL | ©Jabil Inc. 2019. All Rights Reserved. The potential hazards associated with pressure vessels and piping failure if not properly designed, constructed, operated, inspected, tested, or repaired are: Blast Effects Fragmentation damage Suffocation Poisoning Fire or explosion Chemical burns Thermal burns
